What “32” in the model number means
Genie GS-1932 / GS-2632 / GS-3232, Skyjack SJ3219, JLG 1932: the last two digits are a width cue in inches, not a height. Height is the first digits (19, 26, 32). If your constraint is a 32-inch clear door, say so on the quote. Asking for “a 26 ft scissor” can get you a 46-inch machine that will not enter the building.
When the wide deck is the right call
Pipefitters, electricians pulling long sticks, and two-person finish crews work faster on a 46 in platform. Capacity is often higher. If the building has 8-foot openings and wide aisles, do not squeeze onto a narrow deck just because it is what you rented last time.
Indoor doors vs warehouse racking
