Forks are the default for a reason
Framing packages, masonry cubes, drywall, and almost anything that arrives on a pallet wants forks. A bucket will not pick a banded truss pack without making a mess and a safety problem. If 90% of the week is palletized, rent forks and stop.
When the bucket earns its keep
Backfilling, spreading road base, loading a dump trailer, and snow. Our 8,000 lb class rentals are often offered with an 8 ft bucket option because commercial sites do both. If the telehandler is your only machine and you have a lot of loose material, the bucket can replace a small loader for a few days — it will not replace a skid steer for all-day grading.
Capacity changes with the attachment
A bucket of wet gravel is a different chart than two empty forks. Operators forget this after lunch. If you swap, you re-read the chart. We can send both attachments if you will actually use both; we should not send a bucket “just in case” that sits in the mud all week.
