Equipment for Warehouse Racking Installation

Narrow scissors, warehouse forklifts, and when a boom is needed to reach over racking during install and retrofit.

Racking install is aisle geometry. Narrow electric scissors put people on the frames. A warehouse forklift stages beams and decking. A boom appears only when you must reach over existing rack — and then the floor, the emissions, and the insurance people all get a vote.

People

32 in scissors in the height class that matches the top beam. 19 ft is short for high-bay rack. 26–32 ft is common. 40 ft is a measured decision and a wide chassis problem.

Material

Forklift or pallet jack. Telehandlers are rarely the indoor staging tool. If frames are coming off a trailer in the yard, the telehandler can live outside.

Retrofits

Existing product in the aisle means more mast-lift and more patience. Do not drive a 46 in scissor into a 42 in aisle because the PO said 26 ft.

Measure twice

Aisle, beam elevation, floor note. Call (801) 880-8800.

FAQ

Can we install from a forklift basket?

Only with a rated platform and a plan. A scissor is the default people machine for a reason.

What if racking is already full?

That is a reach-over problem. Boom if the building allows; otherwise unload the bay. Do not thread a stick boom through product as a lifestyle.

Electric only?

Indoors, yes. RT diesel in an operating warehouse is how you meet the fire marshal.
