CTLs over wheeled skid steers. Telehandlers still work on frozen pads; they do not work on bottomless thaw. Plow attachments are a conversation if you actually have one that fits.
Light and power
Short days mean towers. Heaters and temp power mean generators sized for the load, not for “a little extra.” Fuel plans matter when the site is empty from Friday to Monday in a freeze.
Aerials
Wind plus ice is a no. RT equipment if you must be on a pad. Indoor electric scissors still win inside heated buildings — warehouses do not care what month it is.

Will electric scissors work outside in January?
Batteries hate cold and slab tires hate ice. Use them indoors. Outside is RT or wait.
Do you deliver in snow?
If the truck can get in and out. A steep, unplowed drive in Alpine is a no until it is plowed.
Block heaters?
Ask what the unit has. Unattended weekend diesel in a valley inversion still needs a fuel and start plan.
