A light tower is a mast, a set of lamps, and a small diesel plant aimed at a rectangle of dirt. It is not a generator with a shop light taped on. Night pours, DOT windows, and December afternoons in Cache Valley all run out of daylight before they run out of work. Rent the tower for the area you must keep productive, not for the whole county.

What 4–6 kW class towers actually cover
Terex RL4 (6 kW class) and Wacker LTV4L (4 kW class) are typical compact towers. They light a work face, a staging yard, or a small event — not a 40-acre solar field with one unit. If you have two faces (pour and batch), you likely want two towers, not one in the middle hoping.
Aim, glare, and neighbors
Point lamps at the work, not at I-15 or a bedroom window. Metal halide and LED patterns differ; we will tell you what is on the machine. Events and church lots have more glare complaints than highway jobs. Bring a site sketch.
Fuel and runtime
Towers sip compared with a G70, but they still need diesel and a check at the start of the shift. Winter gel and starting problems are real at 6 a.m. in January. If the tower is the only light, treat fuel like a safety item.
How to order
Tell us the rectangle (length × width), whether people are walking or pouring, and how many nights. Call (801) 880-8800. Pair with a generator only if you also have tool loads.
FAQ
Can I use a boom lift instead of a light tower?
A boom with a work light is not a lighting plan for a pour. Rent a tower. Use the boom for the work.
Do LED towers change the kW I need?
LED often means more light per watt. Coverage still depends on mast height and aim. Ask what lamp type is on the unit we send.
Will one tower light a parking-lot event?
A small lot, maybe. A full festival grid, no. Count faces, not acres.
Machines on the lot
Live inventory rotates. These are current machines in the related rental collections — not a promise that a specific used unit is still here.
